Welcome to the Nerdy Housewife!

Hey there, I'm the Nerdy Housewife. I get really, really, really into researching all things housewifey. I like to find out what the best ways to clean, cook, and make my house feel like a home (maybe I should have named by blog the Nerdy Home Maker!).

Right now I'm in the most exciting time possible for a gadget freak housewife. We're moving, and all the appliances that hubs and I brought into the marriage almost 3 years ago (I had an entire household, he didn't have a lot of stuff) are on their last legs. I get to spend time oggling bread machines (ours died a week ago), vacuum cleaners (we have two, neither of them work quite right), steam cleaners (I'm tired of borrowing my MIL's!), coffee makers (we have three, which one to keep?), and a whole lot more.

We're also to the point where I'm going to start upgrading some of the rest of our stuff. I just got a new couch, and we still have the shower curtains and bathroom sets that I got when I was in college... and none of it matches. I didn't like my toothbrush holder in the first place but it was .50! I think after... well, many years of service... god I'm old :) that it's time to retire the ugly toothbrush holder and get a matching set.

Hubs gets tired of hearing me talk about this sort of stuff so I'm glad to have a place to talk about gadgets, gizmos, and decorating!
